Amelia + Bennett
Summer wedding at the Historic pink palace museum in Memphis, Tennessee
On a hot southern summer day in July, Amelia and Bennett were keeping it cool inside one of Memphis’s most famous historic homes, surrounded by friends, family, and summery white florals from Lynn Doyle Events. The Pink Palace, also known as the Museum of Science and History, is one of my personal favorite venues in town, and was the perfect place to escape the Memphis heat and host an all indoor wedding. A lot of personal touches and borrowed details went into Amelia’s look, which added to the timeless feel of the entire day and proved you can skip trends and still have a very sleek and modern aesthetic for your wedding. One standout moment for me was Amelia and Bennett’s last dance, which due to how hot it was outside, included a circle of guests with their phone flashlights spotlighted on them while they swayed to “Sleep on the Floor” by The Lumineers. A very sweet way to end their day and close out an energetic dance floor.
