No Dance Floor, No Problem: A Board Game Reception for an Intimate Wedding
If you’re planning a wedding reception and not big on dancing, you can take a page out of Molly and Jeremy’s book and have a board game night, featuring a variety of games for different ages and levels of immersion - Molly and Jeremy themselves stuck to a much more in depth challenge while some of their other guests threw burritos at each other. I love a good dj and a hopping dance floor for the fun guest photos, but if you know your money is better spent elsewhere or your venue can’t support loud music, this is a great option for lowkey entertainment.
Molly and Jeremy had their wedding at home, in the top floor suite of their condo building, and despite a steady drizzle all day had a celebratory and fun day with their small party. Games pictured in play include Escape the Dark Sector, Throw Throw Burrito, The Oregon Trail, Monster Memory Match, and Bears vs Babies.
And when the skies cleared enough to go out on the rooftop, we stepped out for some photos with a view of the downtown Memphis skyline.
